The unit displays several key diagnostics at once on a color screen: time rate (gain/loss), amplitude, beat error, lift angle and the corresponding timing curves. You can run short or long sampling cycles (2–60 seconds) and let the device automatically detect common beat rates; a manual selection is available if you need to test unusual frequencies. The No.1000 also supports checking a movement in up to six positions, a useful feature when comparing performance across crown-up, dial-down and other orientations used by watchmakers.
